About Us

Empowering Communities

Feasible Initiatives for Development (FID Uganda) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2019 with a mission to transform the lives of marginalized and underserved communities across Uganda. We work directly with grassroots groups including women, youth, children, schools, local leaders, and other community structures to design and implement projects that respond to real community needs and challenges.

Our Vision

A world where communities have the opportunity to achieve their full social, economic, and civic potential.

To realize this vision, we engage in sustainable development approaches through service delivery, capacity building, advocacy, and evidence-based research.

We envision empowered rural and urban poor communities, particularly children, women and youth, thriving through sustainable solutions and equitable access to education, health, and economic opportunities.

Our Mission

To provide feasible and sustainable solutions to marginalized and poor communities in Uganda through service delivery, capacity building, advocacy and research

By addressing key challenges in education, health, economic empowerment, and governance, we strive to create lasting positive change for children, women, and youth across Uganda.

Our Focus

FID Uganda is committed to promoting holistic community development across four key areas of human well-being: Education & Learning, Health Promotion, Economic Empowerment, Good Governance & Research

We place particular emphasis on supporting vulnerable people more specifically children, women, and youths in both rural and urban settings, including informal settlements.

Our Objectives

  • To develop and implement educational programs, vocational training, and mentorship initiatives to equip vulnerable children, youth, and women with essential skills for self-reliance.
  • To establish and support income-generating projects, microfinance initiatives, and entrepreneurship training to enhance the financial independence of marginalized communities.
  • To strengthen advocacy efforts to eliminate human rights abuses by conducting awareness campaigns, providing legal support, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote social justice.
  • To improve access to quality and affordable healthcare services by supporting community health programs and promoting public health awareness.
  • To strengthen transparency and accountability in service delivery by working with local leaders, supporting policy reforms, and advocating for inclusive governance in poverty alleviation programs

Our Philosophy

“Not only great people do great things but simple people with great hearts.”

“We believe that all people, regardless of their circumstances, have worth and dignity. They are made in God's image and possess the potential to live creative, meaningful lives and build valuable futures.”
