Child Trafficking Awareness Campaign

FID Uganda’s educational initiative empowers students, teachers, and school staff to recognize and prevent child trafficking through awareness and education.
This campaign, launched in schools across Uganda, raises awareness about the dangers, signs, and prevention of child trafficking. Through interactive workshops, awareness sessions, posters, and educational materials, FID Uganda equips young people with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and their peers. The initiative fosters a vigilant school environment that actively works to prevent trafficking and supports early intervention.
By empowering students to recognize suspicious behavior and understand their rights, FID Uganda is building safer communities and protecting vulnerable children.
The program engages students, teachers, and school staff in practical ways, teaching them how to identify potential risks and report concerns to trusted adults or authorities. Workshops include role-playing scenarios, discussions on child rights, and strategies for staying safe. Posters and materials reinforce key messages, ensuring the information is accessible and memorable.
FID Uganda’s approach includes:
- Interactive workshops on identifying trafficking signs
- Awareness sessions about child rights and safety
- Distribution of posters and educational materials
- Training for teachers and staff to support students
- Encouraging reporting mechanisms for suspicious behavior
This initiative is a critical step toward creating informed and proactive school communities. By equipping young people with knowledge, FID Uganda is fostering a generation that can stand against child trafficking and advocate for their own safety.
