Feasible Initiatives for Development (FID) Uganda is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2019 with a passionate mission: to transform the lives of Uganda's rural and urban poor. We envision a world where every individual regardless of background can realize their full social, economic, and civic potential. Our focus is clear and urgent: we serve the most vulnerable children, women and youth through sustainable development solutions that include service delivery, capacity building, advocacy, and research.

What We Believe

We believe that education, quality healthcare, economic empowerment, and good governance are not privileges but fundamental human rights. Every child deserves the chance to learn. Every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive. Every youth deserves the tools to build a future.

Yet today, millions are denied these rights not because they lack potential, but because of deep-rooted poverty, gender inequality, and systemic barriers. In Uganda, many girls are denied an education simply because they are girls. This injustice robs them of a future before it even begins.

For women, being female often means being excluded from decision-making, denied economic opportunities, and subjected to violence and discrimination. The situation is even more urgent for young women and girls who make up the majority of Uganda's youthful population. They face high levels of unemployment, limited income-generating opportunities, and struggle to access affordable, quality healthcare especially in rural and underserved communities.

These challenges are not just statistics they are daily realities that fuel our mission at FID Uganda. They are the reason we focus relentlessly on empowering children, children and youth because when they are equipped to succeed, entire communities thrive.
